In our house, we don’t just think about tacos on Tuesday. For the last couple months, the go to dinner in this house has been tacos, tacos, and more tacos! Our go-to style involves corn tortillas, heated to a crispy charred perfection on the grill, a fresh-made pico de gallo, quick, crunchy slaw and some ultra flavorful ground beef.
Well seasoned, flavorful meat is a must for the ultimate tasty taco. While those pre-packaged taco seasoning packets may seem like magical fairy taco powder, don’t be fooled! You can season your taco meat perfectly without reaching for the old pouch-o-seasoning. You may even have most of the spices in your pantry right at this very moment….
This spice mix is easy to throw together and great to make in bulk. If stored properly, it will stay fresh in your pantry for quite a while. Just double or triple the recipe and store in an airtight container. You don't have to hoard it just for your tacos, either! Throw it in some chili, taco soup, mix it in with ground chicken or turkey or sauté with onions and peppers for a cheesy, veggie quesadilla!
